5 Attributes You Must Have To Succeed In Affiliate Marketing!
Written by mick on November 15, 2009Affiliate Marketing combined with the Internet has created fantastic opportunities for would be entrepreneurs to break free from their 9-5 mundane existence and build a new life for themselves and their families.
Thousands upon thousands of people have embarked upon this new adventure, one reason I’m sure, is due to the fact that it has such a low cost business startup (approx $200) which places it within reach of so many.
Has it been plain sailing for these people? I’m afraid not!
Due to the amount of competition involved, it’s not easy to rise above the norm and find success. Thousands have become frustrated and given up. Without the right tools and mental attitude you haven’t a cat in hells chance of succeeding.
So what are the attributes needed to succeed at affiliate marketing?
What must you have within yourself to be able to succeed in this business?
I have identified five you must eventually have or develop, for you to achieve your dreams, rise above the norm, and become financially independent.
Without these five attributes you are on your own and reliant solely upon good fortune.
These then are the five attributes you must have:-
The Willingness to learn and be schooled in the art of affiliate marketing. Wading through untried subjects and processes can be hard going, if not scary at times. If not properly prepared, you could easily become overwhelmed or even lost in that jungle. Learning the tricks of the trade, finding those shortcuts will also increase your chances of success.
The Willingness to invest your time and effort, even if at times when good results are not forthcoming. Several months may transpire without success. You must learn to Hold on and Wait. I have discovered that there is a very fine line between success and failure; remember, hang in there and see yourself cross that line and succeed.It is this willingness that will save you from giving up.
You must have Determination if you want to succeed in affiliate marketing. You must drive yourself forward. Never having to say die and having the motivation to overcome whatever problems you encounter, are attributes every affiliate marketer must possess if they want to attain their goals.
You must have Self Dicipline. If you know how to get yourself to work everyday and work with all the energy you can muster, then you will be close to achieving what ever you have set your heart on.
Finally, You must possess a high degree of Optimism. Negative attitudes and hearsays should not dissuade you from pursuing what you have to, in order to improve your life and livelihood, for you and your loved ones. Remember, this is your business, and you decide what ever path or destination your business is to travel.
The components to success in a business such as affiliate marketing are many, and often complex; but the most important thing you need to be able to make it big, lies within yourself alone. It is you who has the capacity to do everything to be able to realize your dreams, and the desire which fuels your heart will provide the energy for you to keep moving forward.
Affiliate marketing is all about putting your fate into your own hands.The right attitude, is the key to crossing that line to success and financial independence.

The only thing you are lacking is a means to organise your ideas and notes.
Help is at hand, with the use of a mind mapping tool to collate all your ideas and place them in one central place.
They are generally very easy to use and you can find many ranging in price from Free to several hundred dollars.

With this software you will be able to attach hyperlinks to websites/articles and text files on your hard disc keeping everything together and accessible from one location.

It does take a some time to begin receiving comments.
As your site grows older, and you place more information on your site the search engines together with visitors will see your site as being more of an authority on your subject content. This builds trust and visitors will begin leaving comments.
Have you started building backlinks to your articles and website?….this will also help in growing traffic.
