I guess you are wondering what a positive mindset has to do with generating leads and income for your business.

If there’s a problem with the Internet it’s that many people tell you it’s “easy” to make money quickly. Actually this is not so. It’s not easy, particularly to the newbie or beginner, but it really is possible to achieve a good successful Internet Marketing business within a short space of time – if you work at it. I call it a ‘do-it-yourself’ Internet Marketing start-up.

It won’t come to your doorstep without a bit of effort, but it is possible, and it can be done, providing you get the right help and advice.

It’s crucial to understand that adopting the correct mindset is the key. This won’t happen overnight; you will need to work at it.

Some people are born with a positive outlook on life, but most of us need to work to develop it. You must learn to sustain a positive attitude to understand you can fulfill your destiny of becoming successful, and therefore wealthy.

Show me a successful person who does not have a positive attitude…

We all suffer from doubt, but hey – it’s doubt that stops us from starting.
Truly believe, and you will succeed. You will deal with any obstacles in your path, and you will achieve whatever you set out to do. It’s called SUCCESS.

You need not be the most intelligent, nor the most talented person. But you DO need to remain positive, and you DO need to TAKE ACTION.

Write a daily ‘to do list’ of things you need to achieve during that day. Then as you achieve each of those tasks you can cross it off the list, and feel a great sense of accomplishment in the process!

Motivational goal setting is pretty essential in any business, but I believe particularly so in Internet Marketing. So you will need to actually write down your goals for the next week, next month, next year, as well as your daily tasks.

Secrets of Goal Setting
There really are no goal setting secrets. Mind you, it’s important to set realistic goals, and not write down a zany sentence such as ‘I will be a millionaire by this time next month’. Keep your written goals as practical as possible, but they should stretch you a little at the same time, otherwise there is little point in performing this exercise.

Remember, the right mindset is your key to success. You CAN fulfil your destiny and become successful – and wealthy!

Exactly what is search engine optimization and what benefit’s do we really get from its use? Search engines will always provide a greater volume of traffic to websites or blogs that have deployed SEO optimization.

Not sure what Search Engines are? Bare with me a moment

Search Engines are software tools designed to index content contained on web pages throughout the internet so as to provide a fast search and delivery of relevant information as close as possible to the searchers keyword search criteria.

Google, MSN, Yahoo and Ask Jeeves etc are all examples of Search Engines in use today.

Finding information today on the internet has been really simplified by the introduction of Search Engines. You simply go to the search engine site and enter your search criteria (Keywords) and within seconds a host of relevant information is returned.

Let me give you an example;

Assume we have chosen the Google search engine and completed our keyword entry into the search bar and clicked on the Google search button.

Immediately after clicking the Google search button a list of websites containing relevant content is presented. Of the website links listed, there are two distinct types; those at the top on a pink background and on the right hand side are what are known as Sponsored links.(paid for)
Those remaining on the left are known as Organic links. (free)

Free links are achieved by adding regular relevant content to your website and deploying a good SEO optimization strategy. To get your free website link appearing on the first page means that you have been rated very highly by the search engine.

By making every effort to achieve that first page ranking on the search engine listings, and maintaining your position there; you will be adopting a really excellent marketing technique that will provide a regular flow of Free traffic to your website, plus increase sales and income, regularly, month after month.

Clearly then, as you can see, SEO optimization is very important and will play a major role in your on-line success.

So, you should now understand why we might need SEO, but how can a website achieve good SEO?
A great question, particularly if you are just starting out on SEO.
Regrettably, SEO is too broad a subject to cover in this article; but I will give just one basic example that will illustrate how SEO interacts with the search engines. This example is really easy to implement and an absolute peach of a tactic to deploy:

To use it, just edit the text within your website, and articles if present; and include highly searched for, related keywords that mostly represent your website or product offer.

To identify these keywords, you can use for example the Google Keyword Analysis Tool located at:
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Or, if you want to see the distribution of keywords used per month across the three major search engines…..Google, Yahoo and MSN, then I recommend you using the SEOBOOK.com tool located at:
http://tools.seobook.com/general/keyword

NB…. You will need to register at SEOBook.com first (which is Free) before gaining access to the above tool.

After logging into SEOBook you will also have access to free SEO training together with $300 worth of FREE SEO tools. So get yourself along there and register.

But there are many others available. I would suggest you give them a try and find the one that best suits you.

Making sure you include your Master Keywords within your webpage or article, means especially in your title tag, your main headline and at least a couple of times in the copy of your page. Aim for about a 1%-3% keyword density.

But build up slowly…if you exceed the search engine threshholds you will be
slapped with a low quality score totally negating all your efforts. This will be perceived
as an attempt to fool the search engines into believing that good relevant content is present.
So be careful!!! “Test and observe the results before change” is the key.

Implementing the above, your website will be listed in the search engine results every time the user searches for your keywords, and, given that you have implemented a successful SEO optimization campaign, then your website will appear on Page One of the results.

Remember, achieving Page One of the search engine organic results will give your business FREE advertising and repeated exposure; delivering a massive volume of visitors to your website increasing your customer base, and revenues, exponentially.

The Willingness to invest your time and effort, even if at times when good results are not forthcoming. Several months may transpire without success. You must learn to Hold on and Wait. I have discovered that there is a very fine line between success and failure; remember, hang in there and see yourself cross that line and succeed.It is this willingness that will save you from giving up.

You must have Determination if you want to succeed in affiliate marketing. You must drive yourself forward. Never having to say die and having the motivation to overcome whatever problems you encounter, are attributes every affiliate marketer must possess if they want to attain their goals.

Creating an information product can easily be one of the most profitable activities for any online business and yet so many have not bothered to create one.

Now, with all of this talk of the billions being spent on the super information highway, you might be a bit intimidated.

How can you sell your ideas, you life’s expertise in the face of the media moguls? Fact is, anyone with a good idea, persistence and some savvy can make a million dollars selling information.

Your job in the future is to convert the mountains of raw data into specialized knowledge presented in a way the consumer can assimilate and use quickly.

Listbuilding, in terms of Internet Marketing, should and must be the No1 activity that is actioned on a weekly if not daily basis. On the internet we don’t have a store front to capture our prospects attention; this is why a list is an absolute necessity.

With a targeted list, it will help you to track and measure your progress online. Use it to study the effectiveness of your marketing strategies.

Your list can tell you what customers prefer what products, which will allow you to target a marketing campaign for each and every customer.

Survey your list and discover what your customers want to buy and how they want to buy it. This will help you determine what products to offer.

Get to know the real reasons why your customers like or dislike certain products by simply asking them and listening to their responses.

But we are getting a little ahead of ourselves here! Before we can do any of the above we must first create a list.

Easy isn’t it? NOT……
